Young of Harben, Alexander
A prim Tory Writer to the Signet who, in 1834, drafted his own Memoir of Burns, which is published in Fitzhugh's Robert Burns, his Associates and Contemporaries (1943). The manuscript is in the library of the University of Edinburgh. Young's recollections were continued by the Right Honourable Charles Hope, later Lord Granton, also published by Fitzhugh.
