Smith, The Reverend Andrew (1741 -89)
Burns met him at Duns, on his Border tour. He described him in his Journal as 'a famous punster'. He was minister of Langton, in the Presbytery of Duns, from 1766 until his death. He married Ann Drummond, heiress of Concraig, to which estate he ultimately succeeded, and took the name of Drummond.
