Geddes Burns
Bishop John Geddes's copy of the interleaved 1787 Edinburgh Edition of Burns's poems, in which the poet wrote additional poems. It was printed in a facsimile edition of 473 copies for distribution to the Bibliophile Society of Boston in 1908. The preface erroneously gives the name of the original owner of the work as Alexander Geddes, instead of John Geddes, his elder brother, to whom the copy in fact belonged. See Geddes, Dr John. The original is now in the Henry Edinburgh Huntingdon Library San Marino.
