Biggar, the Misses
The four daughters of the Reverend Matthew Biggar, minister of Kirkoswald, whom Burns met occasionally. They were: Margaret 1755-1843 Janet 1756-1814 Elizabeth 1757-1838 who married John Graham, a farmer at Dalwhat, near Kirkoswald, and nephew of Douglas Graham, who was the model for 'Tam o' Shanter'. Louisa 1761-1846 who married her father's successor at Kirkoswald, the Rev James Inglis
